Welcome to the Stop Pottery Web Site! Stolp Pottery Began in 1997. After purchasing an adjoining log cabin next to our farm, it seemed only natural that pine cone pottery should be made for the cabin. What has evolved is decorative and functional pottery with hand sculpted pine cones and boughs. Each piece is individually crafted, therefore no pieces are alike. My interest in clay began as a major in college back in 1971, but like many baby boomers, I went in another direction. It wasn’t until 1997 that my love for pottery became a full time ambition. My pottery is sold at art fairs throughout the Midwest during the summer and in several art galleries year round. The studio and shop are located in my barn in rural Wisconsin.
